Q: WHAT
IS A META TAG ?
A: A meta tag is part
of the HTML code which makes up your web site,
but that's not important, what is important is
that your page has them, because they will make
it easier for search engines like Yahoo, Excite
and Hot Bot to find your web page. Basically
meta tags has what we call "keywords" set
in them, it's these "keywords" that
relate to your company (see our example). Search
engines use robots which look for keywords in
web pages whenever somebody searches for something
on the Internet.
EXAMPLE: Say your company sells pet products, you would
put in your keywords which relate to your business, words
like "dog, cat, fish, even pets" as well as
some of your manufacturers names could be included.

HOW MANY PAGES I'LL NEED
FOR MY WEB SITE?
A: The
number of pages is determined
by how much you want to
put on your web site. Web
sites can be short, being
one page or they can get
very lengthy. If you want
to have a page for say
the different products
you sell and say you have
three main products, then
you would have a three
or four page web site.
One page being your home
page (or index page) and
the other three being a
separate page for your
three products. It's a
good idea to have a home
page to give a bit of background
on your company as an introduction,
then link your other pages
from your home page.

A: A
domain name is your identity
on the Internet. If it's
possible, you should try
to register your company
name as your domain name.
This helps people to connect
your web site with your
business. If you're considering
having a web site for your
business, it's increasing
important to register your
name, sooner, rather than
later, as your choice for
a domain name may be already
taken.

A: ISP
is an abbreviation for Internet
Server Provider. This is
a company who bridges the
gap between you and the Internet.
You need an ISP to enable
you to connect to the Internet
via a modem. There are many
ISP companies available,
like Free serve, AOL, BT
Open world and many, many
others.

where any changes can be
made instantly. Also when

that can happen; he/she may
lose the brochure or choose

available. And how many times
has a customer called and
said can you send me a brochure
which, is extra cost to you.

will always have a brochure
at their finger tips with
all the current prices and
products which are available
to them, 24 hours a day,
365 days a year, which they
will never loses and is always
available to them

A: A Domain
Name is a name that represents
you on the Internet, your
name can be a company name
or anything up to 63 characters
long (providing it's still
available). With over 60,000
names being registered every
day it's important you get
your Domain Name registered
as soon as possible, before
someone else does.
Q: HOW DO I GET PHOTOGRAPHS ONTO MY WEBSITE?
A: If you
want photographs on your

you already have like brochures,
